Greetings from Room 10!
I just read this blog written by Allison Tate entitled "What I Would Like to Tell My Son's New Fifth Grade Teacher" and loved it!!! It is a very heart-felt and timely entry, and I wanted to share it with you. Each year I strive to strike a balance between treating my 5th graders like elementary school students and emerging middle school students. I always tell my students that it is my job to, not only deliver the 5th grade curriculum in an engaging and memorable way, but also to prepare each of them for entering middle school.
